Our Elders

My name is Daniel and I am married to Janice, we have a little boy called Reuben.

From the earliest age there was Gospel influence in my life; I was taught the Bible faithfully and saw the Christian life lived out in members of my family.
I remember as a small child being convicted that I was a sinner and that only through trusting in Jesus’ death on the cross could I be saved. When I was eleven I think for the first time I understood the change the Gospel makes in our lives and my walk with God really took off after that.

I’m retired – but actively and joyfully serving the Lord here in my home church.

It was from Lisburn Baptist that my late wife, Marie, and I were sent out on the second stage of a missionary career that spanned over forty years in total. It’s not enough to talk about ‘my faith’. But rather it’s ‘my faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God’. HE has stood the test of a lifetime. My parents related the good news of the Gospel to me. As a young schoolboy, by the grace and mercy of God I became – in Bible terms – a Christian. Now eternity waits! The assurance of being for ever with Jesus in Heaven, with all who through faith in Jesus Christ make up that ‘countless multitude’ from every nation praising God – that thrills my soul. Psalm 32 is my favourite! Want to know more? Click here

Hello, my name is Noel and I’m married to Mina, we have a grown up family.
To have the greatest privilege in life of knowing the Living God, has been the singularly most defining thing in my life.
The fact that God, the Creator of all things, has revealed Himself to us in the person of His Son Jesus Christ, is truly remarkable.
For me to have a personal relationship with Him, through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ, is truly amazing, and it is this that has made the difference in my life.
Knowing and trusting in Jesus Christ as my Saviour, (He’s the one who loves me, who died on the cross for my sin and rose again,)
as my friend, ( He’s the one who has promised,  never to leave me nor forsake me,)
as my Lord, ( He’s the one I look up to, who leads, guides and keeps me, the one on whom I can depend.)
My desire is to tell others what a wonderful Saviour Jesus is, and that He’s mine.
