Daniel Ashby

From there he attended the Irish Baptist College receiving his Bachelor of Divinity and Master of Theology degrees from Queens University. Previous to serving as our Pastor, Daniel served as a Community Outreach Worker with Great Victoria Street Baptist Church for 7 years.
Daniel’s main role as Pastor of our Church is to preach and teach the Bible at our services, provide Pastoral Care to our Church Membership, disciple our members equipping them to serve and leading the Church along with the other Elders.
Daniel is married to Janice and they have been blessed with three boys: Reuben, Oliver and Joshua.
Peter Cooper
Pastoral Assistant
“My name is Peter, and I am married to Rhian. I grew up in Ballygawley with Christian parents who constantly told me the good news of Jesus. And at a very young age I trusted in Jesus as my own personal Saviour. I knew that in that moment my sins were forgiven, and I now have a home in heaven. Since then, I have tried to live for God in all I do.
“I am thrilled to serve God in Lisburn Baptist Church as the Pastoral Assistant, and it is a joy to work with everyone from children to adults. My prayer is that through the work of the Holy Spirit, I grow in the knowledge and love of God, as I help others do the same.
“Asides from ministry I also enjoy football, coffee and reading!”
Noel Spence
Elder
Noel is a native of Lisburn and grew up attending Lisburn Baptist Church from his childhood. He came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour when he was ten years old. Noel has been a member of the church for over fifty years and became an elder in 2002. He is married to Mina, and they have a grown-up family and four grandchildren.
“It has been a wonderful blessing to know The Lord Jesus Christ as my Saviour from an early age. To acknowledge Him as my Lord and have the opportunity to serve Him is truly the greatest privilege any Christian can have in life.
“My desire is to make the good news of the Bible known and to see others believe in Jesus!”
